Ys IX: Monstrum Nox on Steam Gets New Performance Improvement Patch with version 1.1.3 out now

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, one of our picks for the best soundtracks of 2021, just got a major update on PC in the form of Ys IX version 1.1.3. This update has performance improvements from PH3 Games and more. The last update arrived in January bringing in a brand new co-op mode on Steam, support for 16:10 aspect ratios for the Steam Deck, and much more. Read about that here. The Ys IX performance improvement update 1.1.3 update has just rolled out now. Watch the Ys IX co-op update trailer below (note that it has spoilers):

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox version 1.1.3 update on Steam patch notes for May 2022

  • Improved CPU-bound performance. The degree to which you will notice this depends on the specific in-game scene, settings, and your hardware GPU/CPU balance.
  • Adjust the refresh rate selection algorithm to more reliably pick the available refresh-rate closest to the one desired.
  • The game executables are now signed. This should hopefully reduce the antivirus false positives that sometimes pop up for some players.
  • Fixed the English item description of the Holy Sword’s Hilt accessory to correctly reflect its capabilities.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is out now on PS4, Switch, and PC platforms worldwide. Read my PS4 review here, Switch review here, and PC review here.
