Square Enix’s upcoming PS5 exclusive Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy XVI, has just gone gold with nearly three months left for its release date. This means it is now going to see discs manufactured while the team likely works on a potential day one patch. Final Fantasy VII Remake as an example launched and was playable without any major issues pre-release. Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen a lot of footage from Final Fantasy XVI’s world, combat, and more. The official announcement Tweet of the game going gold is here. Watch a showcase of the game’s world in the Final Fantasy XVI Valisthea trailer below:

Alongside the Final Fantasy XVI Ambition story trailer, new screenshots have were released and it continues to look amazing in the trailer. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for a release date. Once we get a confirmed release date, we will also know the approximate PC release date for the game going by the exclusivity. I’m not sure if this means it will also come to Xbox in six months considering Final Fantasy VII Remake is not on Xbox after over a year.

Final Fantasy XVI releases on June 22 for PS5.
