Koei Tecmo Europe just released a major update for Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV on PS4 and PC. This update is the version 1.02 update on PS4 and version 1.04 update on PC via Steam. The update was revealed a while ago for release in March and it was going to bring support for Chinese voices, new paid DLC, and more. ■Function Expansion/Adjustments
– Added Chinese voice.
– Added a “Mid-game Ending” that can be cleared even without unifying all of China.
– Eased the conditions for determining whether officers can participate in events.
– Now the “Merchant” command can be executed once per turn in each city, and it can be executed by multiple officers.
– Improved the AI for how NPC units use fire attacks.
– Improved the AI for awarding specialties and appointing titles to NPC forces.
– Added the new traits “Popular”, “Contriver”, “Benevolent”, “Flame Queller”, and “Smasher”, and changed the traits for some officers.

– Adjusted the balance for duels and dying.
– Adjusted the balance of the scenario setting “Extended”.

– Corrected an issue in which, for the traits “Swift”, “Rear Guard”, and “Indolent”, the activation condition that checks whether a unit is retreating was not applied correctly.
– Corrected an issue in which the game would sometimes stop when repeating certain operations while the land on which to build a “Stone Wall” was being set.
– Corrected an issue in which, when the AI moved a unit, the unit would sometimes circle around in the same location.
– Corrected an issue in which, when the player performed foreign negotiations, some of the processing for the CPU’s presentation of conditions was incorrect.
– Corrected an issue in which, when using Auto Appoint under Area Government, sometimes Barracks would not be set as a development option.
– Corrected an issue in which, even if the unit of an officer with the trait “Swift” changed to a Water formation while marching, the effects of the trait would not end.
