Sonic Origins from Sega releases beginning today on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam. Sonic Origins includes Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. This collection adds remastered visuals, new features, modes, and more. If you’ve played these games before, you likely know that sound test and level select can be unlocked pretty easily. This guide will cover all the Sonic Origins level select and sound test cheat codes known so far to unlock level select and sound test. There are also debug codes as confirmed by Twitter user Mondo_Mega, but all haven’t been discovered so far. Here’s what you need to know.
How to unlock level select in Sonic The Hedgehog 1 in Sonic Origins
On your controller, enter the following at the Sonic The Hedgehog 1 title screen: up down left right. Press Y on your Switch controller, Square on PlayStation 4 or 5 controller, and X on Xbox controller here to proceed to the sound test and level select mode.
How to unlock level select in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 in Sonic Origins
On your controller, enter the following at the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 title screen: up up up down down down left right left right. Press Y on your Switch controller, Square on PlayStation 4 or 5 controller, and X on Xbox controller here to proceed to the sound test and level select mode.
How to unlock level select in Sonic 3 & Knuckles in Sonic Origins
On your controller, enter the following at the Sonic 3 title screen where it asks you to press a button: up up down down up up up up. Press Y on your Switch controller, Square on PlayStation 4 or 5 controller, and X on Xbox controller here and then scroll down below competition for the sound test mode that has level select.
How to unlock level select in Sonic CD in Sonic Origins
As of now, you need to unlock the sound test in Sonic CD by playing the game. This will be updated when a code is discovered that works. So far, the usual ones do not work.
