Announced in July, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition is finally out on Steam and the Nintendo Switch. It contains ports of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — Hacker’s Memory that released on the PS4 and PS Vita in 2015 and 2017 respectively. The India price for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition on Steam is pretty good at Rs. 1,499 making it the cheapest in the world while the Nintendo Switch version is Rs. 4,299 on independent retailer MCube Games with a release date of October 20.
That said, if you wanted to buy Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition in India outside of buying it via the Nintendo eShop for $50 (around Rs. 3,500), these are your only options. Multiple retailers speaking to The Mako Reactor have confirmed that Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition isn’t coming to India via Bandai Namco’s official distributor E-xpress.
What this means is, if you were expecting your local game store or the likes of Amazon or Flipkart to have Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition, this may not be the case. Furthermore, both games in the compilation are unavailable for purchase via the India PS Store. Though the presence of a Steam listing for the Complete Edition suggests it may not be a licensing issue that’s preventing an India release as we’ve seen with past Bandai Namco games.
This isn’t the first time E-xpress hasn’t brought games from Bandai Namco into India. We’ve seen this with Ni no Kuni for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 as well as Tales of Vesperia on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Even hotly anticipated titles like Code Vein saw a delay in the country. We’ve reached out to the distributor for comment and will update this story if we hear from it.
