Following the launch of the Final Fantasy XIV 6.48 update, Square Enix just announced an new free login campaign. Unlike prior ones, this one includes up to 14 days of playtime for eligible accounts. This period is available from now until September 1. If you’ve not played Final Fantasy XIV in a while and have a purchased copy of the game, you might be able to take advantage of this offer.

It is live from now, August 9 at 8:00 (GMT) / 18:00 (AEST) / 1 AM (PDT) until August 31 at 14:59 (GMT) / September 1 at 00:59 (AEST) / August 31 at 7:59 (PDT)

Users must meet the following requirements to participate in the free login campaign:
- Have previously purchased and registered FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- All registered service accounts must be set as inactive during the campaign period.
- Registered service account must have been inactive for at least ninety days.
I’m interested to see what Square Enix does to celebrate A Realm Reborn’s launch and whether it pays some tribute to 1.0 in the current version of Final Fantasy XIV with it also coming to Xbox Series X|S next year. I’m looking forward to the beta of that version. Hopefully we see visual improvements on PS5 as well since the current native release isn’t much better than the PS4 version.
Final Fantasy XIV is out now on PS5, PS4, and PC platforms worldwide. It is coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2024.
