Having finished the game and already put in a good amount of time into New Game Plus, I wanted to help new players with the basics. This Final Fantasy 16 guide will cover the Arete Stone that includes Training area, Arcade Mode, and Stage Replay. These unlock at slightly different points in the early parts of the game.

How to get a unlock the Training Area in Final Fantasy 16

When you just reach Cid’s hideout in the early hours of the game, you get a quest to pickup some supplies. Once you do this basic quest, you are introduced to the Arete Stone. This is your hub for all things relating to training and more. The Arete Stone lets you use Training that lets you setup a safe battlefield to try out combos and more.

How to get a unlock Arcade Mode in Final Fantasy 16

After you defeat the Midnight Raven enemy in the forest soon after unlocking Training Mode, you will have unlocked Arcade Mode in Final Fantasy 16. FF16 Arcade Mode lets you replay any previously cleared stage and be awarded a score based on how you play. There are restrictions on level, gear, and consumables here. The gameplay mode here is Action Focused.

How to get a unlock Stage Replay in Final Fantasy 16

After you defeat the Midnight Raven enemy in the forest soon after unlocking Training Mode, you will have unlocked Stage Replay in Final Fantasy 16. FF16 Stage Replay lets you replay any previously cleared stage at your current level. Treasure coffer data is retained.
