Gimmick Special Edition from BitWave Games brings the 1992-released Sunsoft classic to modern platforms this July. Gimmick Special Edition is an enhanced version of the original with quality of life features and more. A Gimmick Special Edition physical release is also happening in the West from Clear River Games and Limited run Games. Gimmick Special Edition physical release on Switch and PS4

A physical edition is planned through Clear River Games and Limited Run Games. Pre-orders should be live soon for all editions. A Japanese physical release will happen through Super Deluxe Games.

Gimmick Special Edition price on Steam, eShop, and the PlayStation Store

BitWave Games confirmed that it will be $14.99 or 14.99 Euros across all platforms.

In addition to just bringing the NES classic to modern systems, Gimmick Special Edition’s time attack mode has been designed for speedrunners. BitWave Games teases something for unlocking all achievements as well. A Serious Mode is also available that disables all quality of life features.
