Koei Tecmo just announced a localization of Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX for iOS, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is a collection of both Monster Rancher 1 and Monster Rancher 2. Both of these games had new versions released on Nintendo Switch and mobile in Japan and the collection is getting localized with additional content included this December. As of now, a Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX physical release has not been announced. Hopefully it does get one.
Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX will use a unique ID system to replace the physical CD system in the original game to spawn monsters. Check out the official website here.
