PlatinumGames has announced the newest Neo Classic Arcade series game in a new video starring Shirogane Pt. This entry, without a final title, is a spectacular side-scrolling action game. The Neo Classic Series began with the shoot ’em up Sol Cresta. It will feature 10 games on total as you can see on the official series website. A lot of people thought PlatinumGames was joking with its Neo Classic Arcade Series reveal before, but it was actually a real game. I enjoyed Sol Cresta, and I’m curious to see how this series evolves with Pt Spectacular Side-Scrolling Action (WIP) hopefully arriving with a final title in the near future.
Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for information on PlatinumGames’ next Neo Classic Arcade series game. I’m interested to see how long it takes to learn about the other games as well. Sol Cresta’s physical release form Superdeluxe Games is also brilliant, and I hope to see the developer continue working on physical releases like that. PlatinumGames also released new Line Stickers featuring Pt Shirogane.
Sol Cresta is out now on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. No platforms have been announced for Pt Spectacular Side-Scrolling Action yet, and we only have a short gameplay clip in the video above featuring PlatinumGames’ own Shirogane PT.
