NIS America and Granzella recently announced that R-Type Final 3 Evolved is coming to the West on PS5 as a new release remade in Unreal Engine 5. This PS5 version has seven exclusive stages. Previous versions of R-Type Final 2 will be updated to R-Type Final 3 Evolved, but will not include the exclusive content and Unreal Engine 5 visual upgrade from the PS5 version. Today, NIS America has announced the R-Type Final 3 Evolved PS5 release date for the West and released a new features trailer. Watch it below:
R-Type Final 3 Evolved physical release
R-Type Final 3 Evolved will be getting a physical release through NIS America. Pre-orders are live here and at retailers.
R-Type Final 2 launched on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PS4 in the West. These versions will be updated to R-Type Final 3 Evolved. As of now, an updated physical release for prior platforms has not been announced. If you haven’t played the original yet, read my review of the Switch version here.
R-Type Final 3 Evolved releases on April 25 in North America and April 28 in Europe for PlayStation 5. R-Type Final 2 is out now on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PS4 in the West.
