In an official Xbox Twitch stream, Sega showcased Yakuza: Like a Dragon on Xbox Series X. Until the most recent trailer and the stream yesterday, we hadn’t actually seen any Yakuza: Like a Dragon Xbox Series X footage and it was all on PC or not labelled barring the Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS5 gameplay shown off with the release date. During the stream, Sega confirmed the resolution and frame rate for Yakuza: Like a Dragon on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Despite some expecting it to run at 4K 60fps on Xbox Series X, the game offers options for either 4K or 60fps.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon Xbox Series X resolution and frame rate

As confirmed by Zack Reese, PR Specialist for Sega / Atlus, on the official Xbox stream showcasing the game on Xbox Series X, Yakuza: Like a Dragon runs at either 1440p 60fps or 4K 30fps on Xbox Series X. This is at the 1:48:30 mark on the stream above in the comments. The Gamespot preview for Yakuza: Like a Dragon also mentions a third mode called normal.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon Xbox Series S resolution and frame rate

Zack Reese also revealed that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will run at 900p 60fps or 1440p 30fps on Xbox Series S. This is at the 1:51:49 mark in the stream above.

It is going to be interesting to see what resolution and frame rate the game runs at on PS5 when it releases in March 2021. The gameplay released so far from that build shows off a 60fps mode but we don’t have clarity on the exact resolution yet. On current systems expect it to run the same as Yakuza Kiwami 2 which is 1080p 30fps on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X with it being 900p 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One S.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon save transfer

Sega confirmed that PS4 save data will not be compatible with the PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon but Xbox One save data will work with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S version since it uses Smart Delivery.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is out November 10 for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Windows 10, and Steam. It releases on March 2, 2021 for PS5.
