Nihon Falcom just announced the release date and some details for the original soundtrack release for the newest Ys game, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. I’ve been playing the Japanese release of Ys IX so far and while it does a lot well, it also has technical issues that have not been addressed yet. Hopefully future patches fix them. The soundtrack so far has been mostly good with a few standout tracks that play in game during certain boss fights and dungeons. Nihon Falcom announced that there will be two editions of the Ys IX: Monstrum Nox soundtrack. Check out a preview of the songs below from what was included in the samplers for the game’s release:

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox soundtrack release date

The Ys IX: Monstrum Nox soundtrack release date is November 22 in Japan. It will likely also release on iTunes and Spotify around this date.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox soundtrack editions

There are two editions for the Ys IX soundtrack. A standard edition that has all 62 songs on three discs and a limited edition that has a few extras like:

  • Monstrum Nox shadow sleeve
  • Illustration card set

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox soundtrack price

The physical release for Japan will cost 3,500 Yen excluding tax which is approximately Rs. 2,300 while the Limited Edition will cost 3,800 Yen excluding tax which is approximately Rs. 2,500.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is now available on PlayStation 4 in Japan. A localisation is yet to be announced by NIS America.
