At the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Special event, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate was finally revealed. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate follows the superb Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Square Enix is planning a worldwide simultaneous release for it. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate will be more mature and have an important decision made in the game that players will make. The traditional command battle system in Dragon Quest is also being updated but details for the changes or enhancements are unknown as of this writing.
