At the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Special event, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate was finally revealed. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate follows the superb Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Square Enix is planning a worldwide simultaneous release for it. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate will be more mature and have an important decision made in the game that players will make. The traditional command battle system in Dragon Quest is also being updated but details for the changes or enhancements are unknown as of this writing. Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest Treasures (worldwide release), Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate (worldwide release), Dragon Quest III HD 2D Remake (worldwide release), Dragon Quest X Offline (Japan), Dragon Quest Monsters (no details), a tease for possible Dragon Quest I and II remakes, Dragon Quest Keshikeshi (worldwide release for iOS and Android), and more content for Dragon Quest X for Japan. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is in development. A release year and platforms have not been revealed yet.
