Following the announcement of Earth Defense Force 6, D3 Publisher revealed and released the voxel spin-off Earth Defense Force experience for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in the form of Earth Defense Force: World Brothers. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers finally arrived in the West on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Following that release, D3 Publisher announced that Nintendo Switch is getting two more Earth Defense Force games in Japan with Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space and Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable. Today, the Earth Defense Force 2017 Nintendo Switch release date was announced for Japan (via Gematsu and Famitsu). This release, based on the PS Vita version, is set for October in Japan. Earth Defense Force 2017 Nintendo Switch physical release
Earth Defense Force 2017 for Nintendo Switch will get a physical release in Japan. A localization and physical release for the West have not been announced yet.

Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space is out now on PS Vita worldwide and on Nintendo Switch in Japan. Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is available worldwide digitally on PS Vita. It releases this Fall for Nintendo Switch in Japan.
