If you’re looking to unlock Ghost of Tsushima’s platinum trophy, you may want to set aside a decent chunk of time. According to Kinda Funny Games’ Imran Khan it takes approximately 50 hours to unlock. Khan, formerly an editor at Game Informer, also noted this was the first game he platinumed prior to release due to a design loop intended to keep you playing longer than you anticipated.

It’s a welcome trend we’re seeing with Sony-published games of late. 2018’s Spider-Man and 2019’s Death Stranding also had trophies that were not too difficult to obtain. Perhaps this will bode well on what to expect when the first set of PS5 exclusives roll out later this year.

For what it’s worth, we found Ghost of Tsushima to be one of the better games of the year. Aside from having a great photo mode and slick gameplay, it’s a solid way to end the PS4 era as it manages to improve upon some open-world tropes in meaningful ways.
