Ghost of Tsushima is out this week on PS4 and PS4 Pro with a few editions available physically and digitally. Sucker Punch’s open world adventure game is gorgeous and well worth your time. Read our review of it on PS4 Pro here. It also has a lovely photo mode. Details for that are here. According to a detailed report from video game tech analysis site Digital Foundry, we have the confirmed resolution and frame rate for Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 Pro. Digital Foundry will be doing another video detailing the differences between PS4 and PS4 Pro as well later. Watch the full analysis below:

Ghost of Tsushima PS4 Pro resolution

There are two visual modes in Ghost of Tsushima. One offering a higher resolution and one offering more stable performance. In the higher resolution mode, the PS4 Pro outputs at 1800p with some checkerboarding or reconstruction as outlined in the analysis above. The performance mode drops the UI and all visuals to 1080p for delivering a solid 30fps.

Ghost of Tsushima PS4 Pro frame rate

In the mode with a higher resolution output, the frame rate targets 30fps but it can drop as shown in the video above. Digital Foundry says the drops are infrequent and this is the mode they recommend for the boost in image quality. For our review, we played in the higher resolution mode. The performance mode on the other hand delivers a stable 30fps.

Ghost of Tsushima is out on July 17 for PS4.
