Bandai Namco Entertainment just announced a brand new Idolmaster game during a livestream. The Idolmaster: Starlit Season is set to arrive this year in Japan for both PS4 and PC via Steam. The game uses Unreal Engine 4 and will feature characters from The Idolmaster, The Idolmaster Shiny Colours, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, and The Idolmaster Million Live. Watch the debut trailer for the game below:
The Idolmaster: Starlit Season isn’t a pure rhythm game and has many simulation elements. More details for the game including a possible release date will be announced in April. Bandai Namco South East Asia will probably also announce a release for that region in the near future as both previous PS4 Idolmaster games were released in Asia as well as Japan. Check out the official Japanese website here.
The Idolmaster: Starlit Season Steam region lock
As of now, a Steam release has only been announced for Japan. It is possible The Idolmaster: Starlit Season gets a release on Steam for Asia as well just like Super Robot Wars V which was region locked. More details will hopefully be revealed soon.
The Idolmaster: Starlit Season releases in 2020 for PS4 and PC in Japan. A localisation has not been announced as of this writing.
