Bandai Namco Entertainment previously announced a brand new Idolmaster game during a livestream in the form of The Idolmaster: Starlit Season. It was originally set to release in 2020 for both PS4 and PC via Steam but was delayed. The game uses Unreal Engine 4 and will feature characters from The Idolmaster, The Idolmaster Shiny Colours, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, and The Idolmaster Million Live. The Idolmaster: Starlit Season editions

The game will be getting a standard release on both platforms, digital deluxe release on both platforms, and a PS4 collector’s edition titled the The Idolmaster: Starlit Season Starlit Box with the following via Gematsu:

  • A copy of the game for PlayStation 4
  • Special-make box with new illustration
  • Music magazine We special issue “GALAXY”
  • Four-panel manga “StaMas 4-Panel”
  • Original soundtrack CD
  • 29 signed photograph cards
  • Special-make large badge with stand (100mm diameter)
  • “Starlit Season” invitation letter
  • Product code for original color costume downloadable content “Midnight Gallery”

The Idolmaster: Starlit Season digital deluxe edition contents:

  •  copy of the game for PlayStation 4 or PC
  • Special communication “Secret Message Arc”
  • Downloadable content song “M@STERPIECE”
  • Downloadable content outfit “Star Piece Memory”
  • Downloadable content outfit “Pure White Bathing Suit”
  • PC pre-orders will also include the “Colorful Session” wallpaper.

The Idolmaster: Starlit Season Steam region lock

The Idolmaster: Starlit Season is currently region locked on Steam. Check out the region locked Steam page here. If you are in a supported region where the page opens, you should consider buying it as soon as pre-orders go live to avoid on missing out as has been the case with many games that release in some region and are removed later on like with Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition in India. The PS4 and PC release in Japan and on Steam do not support English language subtitles. The Steam version is to launch in Japan, China, South Korea, and Hong Kong going by the Steam entry.
