Link’s Awakening Nintendo Switch unlock time

According to Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will be playable from midnight on September 20 as per the eShop region you’ve bought the game from.

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that Grezzo is the developer behind The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for the Nintendo Switch. Past works include Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask for the Nintendo 3DS as well as the criminally underrated Alliance Alive that’s set for a Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC remaster later this year.

Hopefully, this should set any worries regarding The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Nintendo Switch frame-rate to rest after E3 2019 impressions suggested it’s far from optimal.

”Oh also, didn’t squeeze this into the interview but I’m not sure if it’s public info – Aonuma told me that his team is on BOTW2 and that Link’s Awakening is actually developed by Grezzo (which handled the Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask 3DS remakes),” tweeted Kotaku’s Jason Schreier. He interviewed Aonuma on all things Zelda including the recently announced Breath of the Wild 2.
