Luigi’s Mansion 3 is Nintendo’s big Halloween release for the Nintendo Switch. And despite Nintendo not having an official India presence, the game has made its way to India too. According to a listing on MCube Games, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is available for purchase right now. However the price is perplexing at Rs. 4,999. Reason being, past MCube releases like The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Dragon Quest XI S had a Rs. 4,599 price tag.

We’ve been given to understand that the reason for the high price has to do with the customs duty levied on games that have been officially imported. It’s something local retailers are also aware of, and the more enterprising of these have made their own arrangements as parallel imports of course.

That said, if you’re willing to do the legwork, your local game store will likely have it in the range of Rs, 4,200 and Rs. 4,500. Multiple stores speaking to The Mako Reactor have confirmed that this is the price range they’re selling it at.
