Koei Tecmo just released a major new update for Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The update will likely go live on PC in the next few hours. This update is the version 1.16 update on PS4 and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV version 1.0.4 update on Nintendo Switch. This update is the first update following the Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV Diplomacy and Strategy Expansion Pack’s release. Read my review of it on Nintendo Switch here and PC here. Koei Tecmo has been updating the game a lot since the release date bringing in Chinese voices, new paid DLC, and much more including 60fps gameplay on PC. Function Expansion/Adjustments
- Expanded upon features of the Event Editor.
- Added the scenario “Enduring the Autumn Winds”. Adjusted the conditions for triggering some of the events for the War Chronicles scenarios “The Battle of Chibi” and “The Battle for Jing Province”.
- Improved the specification that prevents free officers residing in cities at the beginning of a scenario from being discovered by using Search.
Bug fixes
- Corrected an issue in which, when creating an event, after setting the Trigger Condition and Result, the actual numbers would be different.
- Now, by referring to the acquisition status of Trophies, clear data is correctly applied within the game.
- Corrected an issue in which, when Divisions were switched from the Balance Trends window, the Balance number would not change.
- Corrected an issue in which the trigger condition of the event “The Decline of the Yuan Clan” was sometimes inconsistent with the content of the event.
