Sekai Project and Regista’s Root Double: Before Crime After Days Xtend Edition is the definitive release of the original visual novel. It debuted outside Japan on PS Vita and PC via Steam. Today, ININ Games has announced a Nintendo Switch version of Root Double: Before Crime After Days Xtend Edition set for release this year both physically and digitally. Root Double: Before Crime After Days Xtend Edition is directed by Nakazawa Takumi of Ever17 fame and it is one of the better visual novels to release in recent years. It features two protagonists and multiple endings. On Nintendo Switch, it will arrive with HD graphics and better sound quality. Watch the trailer below:
As with other ININ Games releases, a limited edition and collector’s edition have been announced. Root Double: Before Crime After Days Xtend Edition is also getting a regular retail edition for those who don’t want to get the game with all the physical extras from Strictly Limited Games. Pre-orders will go live soon. On PS Vita the game was notoriously absent from the PS Store in Europe until recently. It was available in North America on PS Vita since launch. No such worry on Nintendo Switch from the looks of things.
