A Samurai Shodown Xbox Series X physical release is happening for North America and Europe. It includes Samurai Shodown and the first season pass of characters. The video message also says that this release also includes Cham Cham from Season Pass 3.
Samurai Shodown Xbox Series X upgrade for Xbox One owners
Samurai Shodown will support Smart Delivery so anyone who owns the Xbox One version will get the Xbox Series version as an upgrade for disc or digital owners.

Samurai Shodown Xbox India release
As of now, Samurai Shodown is still not available on Xbox One in India. The digital release has not been made available here. Hopefully the Samurai Shodown Xbox Series X release will see it release here. That has happened in the past like in the case of Dead Cells or Valkyria Chronicles 4 where the game was not available in India digitally on Xbox until the DLC bundle released.
