At EVO 2022, SNK had two major announcements so far. Samurai Shodown for PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms including Steam is getting rollback netcode next year. This is the announcement I expected the least out of all possibilities. I enjoyed the Xbox Series X|S version and still play it often, so this will be nice to have. Hopefully we get a date soon. The second announcement was The King of Fighters XV cross play for all platforms.

If you play The King of Fighters XV on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms, online is going to improve a lot next year. This is going to be a huge deal for playing on Xbox at least since right now it has cross play only on PS4 and PS5. I’ve not played it on PC yet, but will likely get it before cross play is live. Read my review of the PS5 version here. SNK also released a live performance from EVO 2022 with some classic peformances. Watch it below:
