The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Raccoon City Collaboration Quest as a part of the Resident Evil 2 collaboration event went live earlier today on PS4 and Xbox One. This event lets you unlock pendants, armor, music, and more for use in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Here’s how to unlock everything from the Resident Evil 2 collaboration in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

How to clear RE: Return of the Bioweapon Quest

The RE: Return of the Bioweapon Quest takes you to the Rotten Vale to take on Blackveil Vaal Hazak. You need to be MR 20 (Master Rank 20) or higher to take part in this event quest. Each clear nets you S.T.A.R.S. Badges. These are the event exclusive rewards you can use for various exclusive cosmetics and armor.

This quest has a few new mechanics and you can’t use Effluvia Resistance so don’t bother bringing your anti-Blackveil Vaal Hazak equipment. Instead of the usual fight with Blackveil Vaal Hazak, you get infected or Zombified.

In this state, you can regain health pretty easily by just being exposed to the toxic parts of the Rotten Vale while your weapon is sheathed. The downside is you can’t use any healing items. Your movement is also restricted in this state.

To cure yourself, you need to use event quest-specific green herbs. Consuming one of these will get you back to normal. You can also find a rare red herb and combine it with the green herb to maximise your health, fully restore your health, and cure the zombified state.

Before jumping into this with random people online, I’d recommend scouting out the scene on your own and seeing how you handle the mechanics when Zombified. This will save you and others online time for when you need to farm this event.
