Danganronpa: Trigger Happy HavocDanganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony are coming to Nintendo Switch alongside the new game Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp this December as Danganronpa Decadence. Danganronpa Decadence was revealed in the E3 Nintendo Direct and it will be the first time Danganronpa is on a Nintendo platform. These games are based on the mobile versions going by the Anniversary Edition branding on the eShop. Today, Spike Chunsoft revealed story details for Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp and detailed the Hype Cards. Check out a screenshot from the English version below:

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp story details

The story here begins with Komaru Naegi arriving at Hope’s Peak Academy after being invited by the Talent Development Camp. Some family members of the participants and students from the school will attend this, but there will not be any of the horrific incidents from the mainline games here.

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp Hype Cards and microtransactions

In addition to unlocking characters through character cards, Hype Cards let you power up characters. These let you raise stats, improve growth, and more. Nine types of Hype Cards exist per character. There are also real world money purchases that let you buy a card directly without worrying about the in-game luck and time investment. These will be sold in different DLC tiers from one to five cards. Once you buy any of these, you can just select the prize character card you want without worrying about chance. The prices are below:

  • 1 card = $0.99
  • 3 cards = $1.99
  • 5 cards = $2.99
  • 3 cards = $0.99 (Only one purchase allowed)

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp gameplay explained

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp has three main gameplay elements. Development is the board game. This is the main part of Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp where players spend 50 in-game days to develop characters over 50 turns. Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp also has battles against Monokuma-like enemies in a 200 floor Tower of Despair dungeon. There’s also a school store to spend Monokuma Medals and Monocoins to unlock new characters and items. Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp also includes more than one thousand event scenes featuring characters from across the games including Ultra Despair Girls.

Danganronpa Decadence Nintendo Switch physical release

The physical release will have all four games on a single card. They will be sold separately on the eShop. In Europe, Numskull Games is handling the release while Spike Chunsoft is doing it in North America. This is priced at $59.99.
