At Square Enix’s E3 showcase in 2021, the company revealed a new series of Final Fantasy releases in the form of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series. This brought a localized version Final Fantasy III’s original 2D release outside Japan for the first time and after debuting on PC and mobile, the series of games has hit PS4 and Nintendo Switch worldwide. A few days ago (via Reddit), a new set of updates has gone live for the collection on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The Square Enix support page for the collection goes over patch notes.

  • Fix for a bug where the game would sometimes freeze, preventing further progress if the player tried to escape from battle with a specific timing.

  • Measures have been taken to alleviate an issue where errors sometimes occurred in a specific location after playing the game for long periods etc.
