Arc System Works just announced that Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 and Revelator will both be getting rollback netcode on Steam. Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator and Rev 2 are available on PS4, PS3, and Steam, but only the PC version on Steam will be getting the update. A specific public test for rollback netcode is planned for late next month with more information likely coming in the next few weeks for how to opt in and test it just like BlazBlue Central Fiction. Watch the Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator and Rev 2 announcement trailer from CEOtaku below:

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 rollback netcode release date for PS4 and PS3

A full release date for the PC update hasn’t been announced, but given the last few rollback netcode announcements from Arc System Works, it looks like the PS4 version will not be getting this. In prior announcements for rollback netcode, the console versions getting it are mentioned alongside PC.

More information will be available on the official Steam pages for Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator and Rev 2 here. I’m glad to see Arc System Works go back and update these older games to be playable online for more people. Hopefully other publishers see this and how the playerbase responds to do it for their own games.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 and Revelator are both out now on PS4, PS3, and Steam.
