Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster is now available on just about every platform and a new interview with Square Enix’s Motomu Toriyama in Famitsu magazine (via Nova Crystallis and @aitaikimochi) reveals that a story scenario for Final Fantasy X-3 exists and the possibility of the game made made is not zero. Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster had a lot of bonus content included like an audio drama (spoiler warning for both games) that does have some hints towards where things might go in a possible Final Fantasy X-3. Right now, the team is focussing on Final Fantasy VII Remake though so anything related to Final Fantasy X-3 is in limbo.

It is going to be interesting to see if Final Fantasy X-3 is eventually made. For now, those involved in a possible Final Fantasy X-3 at Square Enix will be focussing on finishing Final Fantasy VII Remake with the recent excellent PS5 version finally being available and the next part in development.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS3, PS Vita, and PC.
