Revealed at E3 2019 after a leak on Amazon Japan, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for the Nintendo Switch is out this week. It’s a remake of the 1993 Game Boy original that also has elements from the 1998 Link’s Awakening DX for the Game Boy Color. To many, Link’s Awakening is regarded as the greatest Zelda game ever. The Link’s Awakening release date is September 20 for game stores worldwide as well as the Nintendo eShop.

Like most Nintendo first-party titles, Link’s Awakening is $60 (around Rs. 4,200). There are two special editions as well. The Link’s Awakening Dreamer Edition for US and the Link’s Awakening Limited Edition for Europe. They’re priced at $70 and EUR 70 respectively.

Link’s Awakening India release date is September 25 and has a price of Rs. 4,999 as per a listing on MCube Games. There’s a Rs. 400 discount as well which will bring the cost down a bit. Link’s Awakening Switch frame rate and resolution

Link’s Awakening previews based on final, day one retail code of the game have been doing the rounds, giving us an indication of what to expect in terms of frame rate and resolution. According to a preview from US Gamer, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening frame rate is between 30 and 60fps. Spanish YouTube channel Ninteduo has reported similar findings with a video that seems to suggest that The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has an erratic frame rate which could impede the experience for some. As for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening resolution, video game tech analysis authority Digital Foundry had a look at the E3 2019 build and reported that it runs at around 1404×792 in docked mode. Though not usually as accurate, IGN playing retail code claims that Link’s Awakening is 1080p on the Nintendo Switch in docked mode. It is unknown if this will be the case with the final retail release of the game.

Link’s Awakening download size is 5.8GB. What’s more is, there’s a special offer that grants users double the Gold Points which can be used towards getting a lower price on the next Nintendo eShop purchase.
