Dragon Quest XI S for the Nintendo Switch has a September 27 release date and it seems it will be making it to India. Despite Nintendo not having an official presence in the country, independent retailer MCube Games is importing copies for sale. The Dragon Quest XI S price in India is Rs. 4,599 and has a September 30 release date in the country. It’s interesting to see MCube adopt a lower price point following some high-profile releases like Super Mario Maker 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 that were a lot more expensive than they should have been.
The price isn’t too bad when you consider supply of the game from parallel channels or the grey market will be limited. Reason being, JRPGs are considered a niche in the country and aren’t as popular as say racing games or first-person shooters. That said, it’s heartening to see the game make it here on cartridge even if it is a few days after the international launch.
Dragon Quest XI S for Nintendo Switch includes the entire base game that was on PS4 and PC last year in addition to loads of new exclusive content, enhancements, new story content, and more. It also includes the Japan only Nintendo 3DS exclusive 2D Mode letting you play the whole game more or less like the old school Dragon Quest releases.
