At E3 2019, Sega and Microsoft announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 was finally coming to the West in 2020. While originally announced for Xbox One and Windows 10 only, Phil Spencer confirmed to Giant Bomb in an interview that it would also be on other platforms. While a North America only Xbox One exclusive Closed Beta Test is going live later this week, the official game manual has revealed that the free-to-play online action RPG will also be coming to Steam. Phantasy Star Online 2 region lock
While the game is set to only launch in North America, the official account for the game has confirmed that there are no plans to region lock the game.
Phantasy Star Online 2 Xbox One resolution
Phantasy Star Online 2 will support 4K on Xbox One X when it launches. There is no mention of the resolution on base Xbox One or what it will support on PC right now.
Phantasy Star Online 2 releases this Spring on Xbox One and later this year on Windows 10 in North America.
