Yakuza: Like a Dragon finally released in the West on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store in November 2020 with three three editions and a limited Day Ichi Edition for retail. As with earlier games, players who have previous games on their system get rewarded. Read my review of the Xbox One X version here. Today, Yakuza: Like a Dragon has finally launched on PS5 worldwide. Yakuza: Like a Dragon on PS5 is also available as a free upgrade for existing PS4 owners (this is rolling out worldwide and might not be available in all regions yet). If you already bought Yakuza: Like a Dragon on PS4, you will get the PS5 version download at no additional cost when it launches. This includes the physical PS4 release as well.
How to upgrade Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS4 to PS5
If you own Yakuza: Like a Dragon on disc for PS4, you need to do the upgrade through the dashboard menu on the PS5 after inserting the disc like with other PS5 upgrades. This is still rolling out worldwide. If you own Yakuza: Like a Dragon digitally on PS4, you can add the PS5 version to your library on the web through the free upgrade option or through the same menu on your console.

Sega has confirmed that your Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS4 save will not transfer to the PS5 version.
