Dotemu finally announced Ys Origin for Nintendo Switch alongside the reveal of a physical release from Limited Run Games. An international physical release was also later announced for Europe and more. Read about that here. Ys Origin originally launched on PC and released in the West on Steam and GOG before it finally got console ports from Dotemu beginning with PS4 and PS Vita a few years ago which was followed by an Xbox One release. Dotemu finally announced a release date for one of Falcom’s best games for Nintendo Switch and confirmed the contents of the port. Watch the release date trailer below:
Ys Origin on Nintendo Switch will include everything from other console versions including the Xbox One speedrun mode. A price point has not been announced yet but expect it to be priced at $19.99 on the eShop.
Ys Origin is now available on PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and PC platforms. It releases on October 1 for Nintendo Switch.
