City Connection has just pushed out an update for Deathsmiles I & II on Steam with a fix for the only issue Deathsmiles II had on Steam Deck. If you’ve not kept up with it, read my review of Deathsmiles I & II on Steam Deck and PC here. We also featured it as one of the best PC and Steam Deck games of last year. Today’s update fixes the issue with Deathsmiles II’s video that had issues on Steam Deck. The prior workaround was disabling the movie from playing through the settings. Deathsmiles I & II DLC
In addition to the base release that includes both Deathsmiles I & II, there is a DLC pack featuring “Gothic wa Mahou Otome -Contract with me, right away!-” characters and music. Check it out here.
I didn’t expect to see a Deathsmiles I & II Steam Deck update at all given how long this issue has been present in the game. It is great to see, and hopefully means City Connection will sort out any Steam Deck-related issues in ports going forward.
Deathsmiles I & II is out now from City Connection on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
