Square Enix just announced the newest expansion for Final Fantasy XIV in the form of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. The Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker expansion will also be when Final Fantasy XIV releases natively on PS5. Square Enix previously confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV will be playable on PS5 through PS4 backward compatibility for the console’s launch back in November worldwide. The PS4 Pro version’s settings are currently available for PS5 players. Today, Square Enix revealed Endwalker, a PS5 version, a PS4 to PS5 upgrade, PS5 Final Fantasy XIV open beta, and more. Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker features
Square Enix revealed the following features for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker in the livestream today:
- Journey to Thavnair, the imperial capital of Garlemald, and even the Moon.
- New Jobs: Sage and more
- Level Cap Increase from 80 to 90
- Expansive new areas, including Garlemald, Thavnair, and the city of Radz-at-Han.
- A New Tribe: the Arkasodara
- New threats, including Anima.
- New Dungeons
- New High-Difficulty Raid: Pandæmonium
- Secrets Revealed in a New Alliance Raid Series
- New Small-scale PvP Mode

Final Fantasy XIV PS5 release date
Final Fantasy XIV for PS5 will release in Fall 2021 with Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. A release date will likely be announced in a few months at the Digital Fan Festival 2021.
Final Fantasy XIV PS5 free upgrade from PS4

Final Fantasy XIV PS5 resolution and frame rate
Final Fantasy XIV on PS5 will have two modes. A 4K mode with 4K resolution and a full HD 2K mode. It will also have significantly improved frame rates, faster load times, and more.

The Final Fantasy XIV PS5 open beta will begin on April 13 when Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.5 releases on current platforms.

The Final Fantasy XIV Digital Fan Festival 2021 takes place from May 14 to May 15 and it is available free for everyone to stream on official Final Fantasy XIV channels.
Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker for Xbox
Despite Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, revealing that Final Fantasy XIV will come to Xbox back in 2019, there has been no news since. I expected the Xbox version to be announced alongside today’s Endwalker expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV is out now on PS4 and PC platforms. Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker releases in Fall 2021 for PS4, PS5, and PC platforms.
