Xseed Games and Cygames just announced the release date for the newest Granblue Fantasy: Versus character DLC. Anre joins the game on January 26 worldwide on PS4 and PC. Today, Cygames announced the Granblue Fantasy: Versus version 2.31 update with Anre DLC and balance adustments in addition to fixes. Granblue Fantasy: Versus version 2.31 follows Granblue Fantasy: Versus version 2.22 that added in the Battle Pass. Read about that here. Granblue Fantasy: Versus version 2.31 update patch notes
Anre has been added as a playable character and additional weapons have been added to RPG Mode. Additionally, updates and bug fixes have been applied to certain modes. As of this update, Master-rank players who have not played a Ranked Match for a set period of time will be demoted to SSS.
General
Anre has been added as a playable character. The content is available with a separate DLC purchase.
Anre’s Battle Concept:
- The founder of the Eternals, Anre is known for his iron defense.
- Anre possesses skills that allow him to deftly dance around foes’ attacks while fighting. These include Rakshasa, a long-range attack; Mantra Wheel, a rushdown attack that can close the gap from mid-range; and Spiral Spear, a close-range attack with multiple follow-ups.
- On top of that, Anre has two powerful defensive tools: the parrying skill Fleeting Spark and his Unique Action, Arm the Bastion.
- Fleeting Spark is a counterattack that allows him to move immediately from a defensive stance to an attack.
- While Arm the Bastion has a comparatively slow startup, if he’s able to successfully parry his foe’s attacks, he can immediately move to the next action.
- Mastering both of these moves will turn Anre into a force of balanced offense and defense.
- Anre’s potent defensive skills form the shield behind which lies the power feared by all as the “menace of the skies.”
The following Weapon skins for Anre have been added:
- Yatagarasu
- Spear of Vyrnsail
- Bamboo Spear
- True Conviction Flashspear
- Spear of Bahamut Nova
- Galilei’s Insight
- Selfless-Rift Spear
*Yatagarasu is Anre’s default weapon skin. The other weapon skins can be obtained through RPG Mode.
The following new music track has been added: Enlightener (VS Anre). This track is only selectable if Anre is available as a playable character.
The following unique battle animation has been added: Beelzebub (Round victory)
RPG Mode
The following new quest episodes have been added:
- Eternal Rendezvous:
- Location: Albion Citadel
- Unlock Requirement: Clear Episode 45: “Captains’ Will” (Normal)
- Anre must be available as a playable character to start this quest.
- This quest will still be displayed even if Anre is not available as a playable character.
- A Measure of Resolve:
- Location: Albion Citadel
- Unlock Requirement: Clear Eternal Rendezvous
- Anre must be available as a playable character to start this quest.
- The Sage’s Judgment (Hard):
- Location: Albion Citadel
- Unlock Requirement: Unlock Albion Citadel (Hard)
The following character can now be selected as the Quest Character and the Partner: Anre. Anre must be available as a playable character in order to be selected.
The following new weapons have been added.
- Galilei’s Insight (SSR/Water)
- Selfless-Rift Spear (SSR/Water)
- True Conviction Flashspear (SSR/Wind)
- Spear of Bahamut Nova (SSR/Dark)
- Bamboo Spear (SR/Earth)
- Spear of Vyrnsail (R/Dark)
You can obtain them through “Forge Weapons” in Siero’s Shop or with weapon tickets. Certain weapons can also be obtained through the newly added quest episodes.
The following new treasure has been added: Anre’s Medal. This item can be obtained through a certain quest episode on Hard difficulty.
Color variants for Anre have been added to Siero’s Shop.
New bonus missions have been added.
Arcade
Anre may now appear as a foe.
Mission Training
Missions related to Anre have been added.
Gallery
The following new track has been added to the Battle Music section: Enlightener (VS Anre). Purchasable with Renown Pendants.
Profile
New trophies have been added. The following lobby avatar has been added: Anre. Anre’s avatar will be available only if he is playable.
Replay
By default, replays are now ordered by date.
