Sony may not be interested in releasing the PS4 DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment in India, but that hasn’t stopped enterprising retailers from picking up the slack. Indian game store MCube Games has listed the PS4 DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment for sale with a price of Rs. 4,299. Keep in mind that this no where to what it should cost officially, sporting a $30 price tag in the US. In fact, it’s almost double.

While MCube hasn’t mentioned where its getting its stock from, the firm has obtained stock from the Middle East in the past what with the likes of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore having markings of the region’s rating board.

Earlier this week, The Mako Reactor confirmed that Sony won’t be bringing it to India. Multiple retailers speaking to us had been informed by Sony that there are no plans to sell the PS4 DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment in India.

Considering the timing of MCube’s listing (it wasn’t on the site yesterday), it appears that this is the company’s direct response to Sony’s lack of official support for the market. It’s something we’ve seen with it bringing in the Nintendo Switch Lite and its many first-party exclusives as Nintendo lacks an official presence in India.

This isn’t the first time Sony hardware hits India late. The company delayed the PS4 Pro and PS VR launches in the country and has had consistent issues in ensuring regular supply for the former.

The PS4 DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment consists of two programmable buttons surrounding an OLED display. There’s even a headset pass-through for connecting any 3.5mm wired headset to the controller as well as the ability to save three different profiles for use in different games. Sony has outlined its key features in a post on the official PlayStation EU and US blogs.
