Sonic Frontiers released back in November 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC worldwide. Read my PS5 review here and review covering the Switch and Steam Deck versions at launch here. Today, Sonic Frontiers has been Steam Deck Verified by Valve. This happened about six hours ago. Sonic Frontiers was a bit rough at launch, bit it has improved a lot since, and is very good on Steam Deck. With today’s change it likely runs even better. I will be redownloading it to check later today. Watch the showdown below:

If you’ve not played it yet, the game has been discounted a few times so far, but I liked it enough to buy it on every platform and get the Japanese Nintendo Switch release for the Korone DLC. The soundtrack is legendary. It is available to stream here. If you’re wondering about the various editions and DLC, read this.

I expected Sonic Frontiers to be Steam Deck Verified much sooner, but it is good to see it finally happen for those wanting to play the game on the go with a Steam Deck.

Sonic Frontiers is out worldwide for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
