Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is the massive expansion set to arrive little over a week for PS4 and Xbox One owners of Monster Hunter World. Monster Hunter World is Capcom’s best selling game of all time and they promise an expansion that rivals the base game in terms of content. If you’ve played earlier Monster Hunter games that released in the West in recent years, you know that the West sees the “Ultimate” versions of games which includes G Rank. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne brings Master Rank which is the equivalent to G Rank for Monster Hunter World. Capcom also says that the story for Monster Hunter World concludes with Iceborne. If you’ve been playing Monster Hunter World or are new to the franchise in general, here is everything you need to know before you buy Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne gameplay changes

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has changes for all weapons but the real highlights to core gameplay include the slinger and clutch claw mechanics. In addition to those, the multiplayer scaling is great since there is an all new 2 player scaling and the game will scale up or down dynamically depending on players joining and leaving your quest. The base game had a single multiplayer scaling which meant 2 people end up hunting a monster balanced for 4 people.
