13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim for PS4 is skipping India at retail. The newest Vanillaware and Atlus collaboration is a superlative experience that blends multiple genres together. Read my review of it here. Ever since Atlus distribution in Europe improved with Dragon’s Crown Pro, it has been great seeing Atlus games release in India. Persona 5 Royal earlier this year was the first mainline Persona game to get an official release here. With the 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim release date set tomorrow, the game is skipping India at retail. I had reached out to Sega and Atlus’ distributor in India, e-Xpress Interactive but the company did not comment on the lack of a 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim listing for India as of this writing. Watch the 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim trailer below:

So what does that mean for you? If you want to play 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim on PS4 in India, you need to buy it digitally on the PS Store, wait for a parallel import from another retailer, or import it yourself.

This follows other titles like Sakura Wars and Catherine: Full Body from Sega/Atlus that didn’t release in India at retail officially. Even Trials of Mana remake skipped retail in India this year. Hopefully Japanese games like these see regular releases in India in the future because going digital is not an ideal solution.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim releases on September 22 worldwide on PS4.
