The Nintendo Switch release date is September 20 but that hasn’t stopped some of the bigger retailers from ignoring that. According to a recent report, Walmart has been selling the Nintendo Switch Lite since September 9 — 11 days before the actual release date. More specifically, a Walmart in Rockmart Georgia. On September 9 it was selling the yellow Nintendo Switch Lite with the grey and turquoise versions up for sale from September 10.

After the initial tweets from the buyer, Dave Reed found its way onto popular gaming forum ResetEra, Video Games Chronicle reached out to Walmart for comment. Though there’s yet to be any statement from the retail giant.
Nintendo Switch Lite India price and release date
It’s unlikely that India would see this street date break impact the slated Nintendo Switch Lite India release date of September 25. Reason being, parallel imports for the Switch Lite in India won’t originate from the US, where this specific early release has happened. The Middle East tends to be a preferred region to import from for many independent game stores in India.
According to a listing on website MCube Games, the Nintendo Switch Lite India price is Rs. 24,999 with a release date of September 25. In the past, MCube has imported Nintendo first-party games like Super Mario Maker 2 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses so this should come as no surprise. You can pre-order the Nintendo Switch Lite in grey or turquoise.
That said, the price of Rs. 24,999 is not too bad when you consider that MCube will offer three months of warranty, which is better than nothing what with Nintendo lacking an official India presence.
