The Wonderful 101 Remastered is out this week for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PS4. While the Nintendo Switch is not officially available in India and therefore there’s no India Nintendo eShop, Steam supports Indian currency and the PS4 is officially available here. However, we noticed that The Wonderful 101 Remastered’s store listings on Steam and the PS Store were missing for India. The Mako Reactor reached out to PlatinumGames to ask if The Wonderful 101 Remastered would have an India release date or if like other Japanese games, it would skip the country. The company has confirmed to The Mako Reactor that The Wonderful 101 Remastered release date for India is May 22. This is in line with the European release of the game.

Of late we’ve seen a host of games from Japan not make it to India. These include Catherine: Full Body, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, My Hero One’s Justice 2, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and Doraemon Story of Seasons to name a few. The news of an official India release date of The Wonderful 101 Remastered is heartening. Particularly for those on PC. Reason being, the Steam page throws up an error that would suggest it won’t be available in India.

This is what The Wonderful 101 Remastered Steam page for India looks like right now. PlatinumGames says this will change on May 22.

The Wonderful 101 Remastered price

The Wonderful 101 Remastered is $39.99 (around Rs. 3,030) on all platforms. No India-specific price has been revealed just yet and it will be interesting to see if PlatinumGames adheres to regional pricing on PC or not.

The Wonderful 101 Remastered physical release

Nighthawk Interactive is handling the retail release for The Wonderful 101 Remastered. While the publisher does not have an official distributor in India, some of its releases make it here through parallel imports. Though given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it is uncertain if this will be the case for this game.

For what it’s worth we found The Wonderful 101 Remastered to be excellent on the Nintendo Switch. There are some minor concerns but it’s a fantastic re-release of one of the Wii U’s hidden gems.
